What stupid things people had to do to necessitate this sticker.

But anyway, happy new year, merry swiftmas, and all that good stuff! Nicole and I recently returned from one hell of a holiday road trip (a few snapshots from the trip can be seen here). Personally, I logged over 2,000 miles behind the wheel of the car, got to Rochester, NY for my first time, gave Nicole a beginners lesson in skiing (a resounding success, by the way!), and hit up two weddings.

In the process, I also hit up fourteen (14!) different interstate highways (but more about that tomorrow), drove through some pretty nasty wind one day, snow another, made another stop at Frank Pepe’s in New Haven (a must), and rang in another new year at JRfest.

I can’t say that I’m totally happy to be back… I mean, who wants to work? But damn, two weeks without my bed…? I was ready to come home, and now I’m ready for a vacation from my vacation! Happy New Year everyone!
