Finally… the film is in

54590013So, I’ve finally picked up my roll of film that I shot on Inauguration Day. I dropped it off at Penn Camera about two weeks ago and got it this past weekend. It’s an Ilford black and white film, not sure whether it’s HP5 Plus or Delta (edit: I now know that it was Delta 100 film). But I do know for sure that it’s 100 speed film, which is what I prefer the most anyway.

Of course, this causes problems in the morning, walking down a shady street during early sunrise. Unfortunately, a bunch of the early images on the roll are blurry, due to the long shutter and low light. However, I am a big fan of how the roll turned out, as a whole.

Aside from wanting to go to the inaugural mass-gathering on the Mall out of civic necessity, I, as an aspiring photographer, was hoping to get that “one” image (I’m having a hard time finding a suitable example… but imagine pictures of crowds you’ve seen gathering to hear Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. or President John F. Kennedy). While I did not come away from this day with “that” picture, I am, as I said, happy with the roll as a whole.

Above is one of them, but I’ve posted the rest of my favorites from that day to a set at my Flickr page. You can view the set in a slideshow by clicking here. Enjoy!
