The Monday Morning Post: Hot Weather Edition
As I mentioned last week, the weather took a turn up following some cold and rain last Wednesday. This had all been predicted, and I can say this now, predicted well. This weekend was absolutely stifling hot. Both Saturday and Sunday hit nearly 90, if not higher on Sunday. Today is also expected to reach 90. Good Lord…
Friday night was not so bad, as it actually rained to cool things off once the night wore on. Saturday though, Nicole and I went to Tony & Joe’s on the Georgetown waterfront and baked in the sun all afternoon. Though I am no longer a fan of Buffalo Billiards (as I once used to be), making a stop there after the waterfront was a welcome change of pace. We got out of the sun and into the air conditioning, got to watch the end of the Sox-Yanks gameand played some shuffleboard with my brother and one of his friends. Sunday was again scorching hot, though this time not only were we outside for most of it, but we were helping some friends move into their new house in Alexandria. It was a good day spent with a bunch of friends, but I’m definitely feeling some pain today…
In other news: our dining chairs were finally delivered Saturday; we went to Capitol Lounge on Friday night for the first time in quite a while; the Red Sox swept the Yankees out of Fenway!
