Weather finally gets over the hump
Yesterday was an extremely bizarre day; it would get dark and cloudy and rain cats and dogs all in a matter of ten minutes, then the clouds would break, the sun would shine for a while, all to start over again. And this happened pretty much all morning all the way through something like 200pm.
But after that, in the true spirit of hump day, the weather took a turn for the better. Though it stayed cool and windy, the skies cleared and the sun stayed out for the rest of the day. As I mentioned earlier this week, from the recent ten day forecasts on weather.com, it looks like we only get better warmer from here on out.
In other news, my dad has confirmed that we will be going to see the July 4 baseball game at Fenway Park, the Seattle Mariners vs. Boston Red Sox. After that, we’ll probably grab a quick bite to eat and then camp somewhere to see the fireworks at the Esplanade on the banks of the Charles River. Can’t wait.
Also, my brother and his wife, married in late summer of 2007 on Block Island, took a vacation there last year in honor of their anniversary. This year, they have decided to do the same and have floated the possibility to the entire family about renting a house for us all to hang out for a week in late August. Considering the week I’m taking for the Outer Banks in May, I’ll probably be looking at a long weekend on BI, and depending on what week they choose, I’m not even sure if Nicole will be able to go, but we shall see.
And finally, tomorrow is my happy hour at McFadden’s… bah. Free drinks! So I guess I’ll take it…
